Three Poems
I know what you are thinking No I haven’t been drinking
The old me went out for a walk I just wish we could have a talk
My life has begun sinking Because my protection is kinking
In the past I’ve lied Though I’ve tried
It is you who has taken me for a ride You still may get inside
I have had my share of falls In this life, I built walls
But for you to knock me down For you to walk aroun’
Brings sadness beyond a frown ‘Tis best to surrender my crown
Life like empty halls If only, choices had recalls
A time full of tears A time full of cheers
Now friends wish I would reignite Going out every night
But fun was replaced with fears Staying in on New Year’s
Sorrows, too deep to be cleaned, despite Finding other ways to excite
The way you hew For to be with you
My life, worth less than a sock I would’ve lived beneath a rock
Still you put me in the zoo Without even a shoe
